Ways to get involved
Host your own fundraising event
Hosting your own fundraising event is a fun and rewarding way to show your support. It is great to align your fundraising with the shared activity that brings your members together.
Creative fundraising – Why not showcase the creative skills of your group through a themed fundraiser like a bake sale, coffee morning or craft sale or workshop. You could even tie it in to the time of year, in the run up to Christmas you could offer a Wreath making workshop, festive bakes or Christmas gifts.
Get Sporty – Get active and give back, through a physical fundraiser like a sponsored walk, run, cycle or host a challenge at your local sports club.
Giving Gardens – One for our green fingered supporters. Host an open garden event or hold a plant, flower or vegetable sale in aid of Martha.
Giving Quest – One for those that like a mental challenge, consider hosting a quiz night or scavenger hunt in aid of Martha.
A Night to Give – Host an evening fundraiser – there are so many fun formats you could follow from a barn dance, fish supper, gala dinner, pub games to a vinyl night.
Volunteer
Encourage your members to volunteer their time and skills. We have a range of volunteering opportunities to get involved in, including gardening and painting at our homes in Deal and Hastings as well as support at our fundraising events.

At Martha, we are dedicated to creating a more inclusive society, where adults with profound disabilities have the support and environment they need to thrive. But we cannot do it alone. By working together, we can inspire the next generation to understand the importance of compassion and care while creating life-changing opportunities for our residents.
We’d love your pupils to get involved in supporting the vital work we do at Martha Trust. There are so many fun and meaningful ways to make a difference!
Host a Fundraising Event
- Bake Sale – get your whole school community involved by hosting a bake sale in aid of Martha.
- Collaborative Project – engage students in creating handmade holiday cards or crafts to raise money.
- Creative Activities – host an event where pupils can showcase their talents like an art competition or talent show.
- Sponsored Challenge – Why not combine learning with fundraising like a sponsored read or spell-athon. Or host a more physical challenge like a sponsored walk or run or team event.
- Wear Blue4Martha day – host a non-uniform day, where pupils wear blue in exchange for a small donation.
Book an Assembly or Talk
We’d love the opportunity to come in and speak to you and your pupils about Martha Trust and raise awareness of profound disability and the difference your support makes to us.
